FINES FOR GAME MISCONDUCTS AND SUSPENSIONS:
The SCRHL will be assessing monetary fines to players who receive a game misconduct / suspension(s) during a season. Referees will report any game misconducts and/or suspensions to the League Manager following each game. This will include game ejections given to players who incur three penalties in a given game if the game ejections occur on a regular basis (3+ times per 4-month period).
100% of all fines collected by the League Manager within each of the league's divisions will be allocated to the most sportsmanlike team within each division at the end of each season.
All game misconducts and suspensions will be posted on the league website at www.scrhl.ca detailing the infraction, game misconduct / suspension, and fine assessed.
A fine between $40 and $100 (depending upon player history and severity of the penalty) will be assessed to a player following a game where he has received a game misconduct and/or suspension(s). Fines must be paid to the League Manager before the player will be permitted to play any future games. The fine structure is described below:
$40: First game misconduct for a given player since Jan 1, 2016.
$70: First game misconduct and multi-game suspension for a given player since Jan 1, 2016.
$70: Second or more game misconduct for a given player since Jan 1, 2016.
$100: Second or more game misconduct and multi-game suspension for a given player since Jan 1, 2016.
The League Manager will contact any players assessed with a game misconduct / suspension(s) following a given game based on the referee's report. The League Manager will advise the player of the amount of the fine to be paid (based on the fine structure above) and provide options how to pay for the fine. Finally, the League Manager will advise the team's captain.
If the player does not pay the fine to the League Manager, then he/she will not be allowed to return to play future games until the fine is paid. The player's fees will also not be refunded.
