Minimum Suspension Guidelines

Cumulative Penalty Minutes Per Season (Fall:  September - December, Winter:  January - April, Spring & Summer:  May - August)

 **Fines N/A**

1.      30 minutes:  3-Game Suspension

2.      40 minutes:  4-Game Suspension

3.      50 minutes:  5-Game Suspension 

4.       60 minutes:  Season Suspension

**5.       20 minutes:    Removal from Spare List for Current Season (Spare Players Only)

Abuse of Officials Minimum Suspensions (Timekeepers, Referees, League Administrators)

1.       Verbal abuse of officials:  2-game suspension

2.       Threaten or attempt to strike:  10-game suspension

3.       Intentionally touches, holds or pushes:  15-game suspension

4.       Intentionally strike or body check:  Permanent league suspension

Fighting Minimum Suspensions

1.       Any player who engages in their first fight in a calendar year:  5-game suspension

2.       Any player who engages in their second fight in a calendar year:  Season suspension

3.       Instigator or aggressor of a flight:  1 additional game suspension

4.       Third man in a fight:  2-game suspension

5.       Leaving the players/penalty bench during a fight:  2-game suspension (in addition to any suspensions related to other infractions)

6.       Leaving the player bench to start a fight:  5-game suspension (in addition to any suspensions related to other infractions)

Game Ejection with 3 Minor Penalties

When a player is assessed 3 infractions in the same game

1.       Remainder of current game (no additional suspension)

Game Misconduct Minimum Suspensions

When a major penalty and a game misconduct is assessed for any infraction other than those mentioned above

1.       First offence in a calendar year:  1-game suspension

2.       Second offence in a calendar year:  5-game suspension

3.       Third offence in a calendar year:  Season suspension

Match Minimum Suspensions

Any infraction which results in a match being assessed

1.       First offence in a calendar year:  3-game suspension

2.       Second offence in a calendar year:  5-game suspension

Gross Misconduct Minimum Suspensions

Any infraction which results in a gross misconduct being assessed

1.       First offence in a calendar year:  3-game suspension

2.       Second offence in a calendar year:  5-game suspension

Player Misrepresentation Minimum Suspensions

Any discovery of player misrepresentation which results in an player participating without prior notification to SCRHL Administration will result in a minimum Season Suspension to all players involved.
